What is a Glass Roof?
A glass roof system encloses a terrace, garden or winter-garden space overhead with tempered or laminated glass panels, either fixed in place or mounted on a motorized sliding frame.
Fixed glass roofs are the more economical option for a permanently covered space; retractable (sliding) glass roofs let you open the roof fully on good days and close it again at the touch of a button when the weather turns.

The mechanism
Glass panels sit in an aluminium frame with sun-control or laminated safety glass. In retractable models, a tube motor drives panels along telescopic rails, stacking them at one end when open. Integrated drainage channels direct water away from the frame, and sun-control coatings reduce heat gain in summer.
